San Francisco Homestay - Student Housing
What expectations should I have of homestay?
Homestay is affordable housing in which you choose to live in someone's home. This is a very different experience than staying in a hotel and requires a different set of expectations.
The nature of the home and the family will vary as America is a diverse nation, but all homestay homes will be safe, clean and close to public transportation. You will be able to practice your English in conversations with your host during shared time in the home, such as dinner time. Many Americans have busy work and personal lives. Families might not eat together every evening.
Because this is someone's private home, you will be expected to abide by the same reasonable rules of behavior that family members follow. The homestay agency and the family set these rules. Please make certain that you understand these rules which are available for you below and when you check-in.
If there are accommodation problems that you need help solving, we will help solve the issues. We want you to feel comfortable and have a pleasant experience. Feel welcome to phone us at (360) 671-5959.
> All arrangements for your accommodations are made through the San Francisco Homestay? agency. If you have any questions or problems regarding your accommodation or your fees, please phone the appropriate homestay personnel:

Are The Public Employee Unions Set To Self-Destruct In Wisconsin Walker Recall? - Forbes
"So, a big two thumbs down to AFSCME for losing its ability to see the forest for the trees and walking into so grave an unforced error.
The coming recall election is going to be close —very close. Why the leading public employee union would take such a step when it can only help Governor Walker hold onto his seat is simply beyond any reasonable comprehension.
The union should remember that while they will surely benefit from a Walker recall, this is not all about them. But for the efforts of the many people in Wisconsin—union and non-union— who have stood up against the Governor’s policies and agenda, there would be no recall. The least AFSCME, and the other public employee unions, can do is keep faith with all of those who have had their back. That means a little less selfishness and a lot more judgment than what they displayed this past week." Rick Unger

2012 Kia Sedona - Kelley Blue Book
If you've been shopping the minivan market lately, you know that the days of the cheap family hauler are long gone. Price tags around $30,000 are not uncommon on some minivans, and that's just an entry-level price, which is why we think the 2012 Kia Sedona minivan is so brilliantly positioned. With a starting price below $26,000, the 2012 Kia Sedona minivan isn't some stripped-down model designed to lure you in and then hit you with expensive options. The 2012 Kia Sedona is a well-equipped, well-regarded minivan capable of matching the horsepower and safety ratings of the segment's top sellers. And, while resale figures for the 2012 Kia Sedona minivan rank well below those of the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna minivans, the savings in the showroom, coupled with the Sedona's 10-year/100,000-mile warranty, may be enough to convince shoppers this is one leap of faith worth taking.

Passive-Aggressive Traits...
TE: This is the "condensed" version. For the expanded version please see Dr. Wetzler's book, pages 35-37......

*FEAR OF DEPENDENCY - Unsure of his autonomy & afraid of being alone, he fights his dependency needs - usually by trying to control you. *FEAR OF INTIMACY - Guarded & often mistrusful, he is reluctant to show his emotional fragility. He's often out of touch with his feelings, reflexively denying feelings he thinks will "trap" or reveal him, like love. He picks fights to create distance. *FEAR OF COMPETITION - Feeling inadequate, he is unable to compete with other men in work and love. He may operate either as a self-sabotaging wimp with a pattern of failure, or he'll be the tyrant, setting himself up as unassailable and perfect, needing to eliminate any threat to his power. *OBSTRUCTIONISM - Just tell a p/a man what you want, no matter how small, and he may promise to get it for you. But he won't say when, and he"ll do it deliberately slowly just to frustrate you. Maybe he won't comply at all. He blocks any real progress he sees to your getting your way. *FOSTERING CHAOS - The p/a man prefers to leave the puzzle incomplete, the job undone. *FEELING VICTIMIZED - The p/a man protests that others unfairly accuse him rather than owning up to his own misdeeds. To remain above reporach, he sets himself up as the apparently hapless, innocent victim of your excessive demands and tirades. *MAKING EXCUSES & LYING - The p/a man reaches as far as he can to fabricate excuses for not fulfilling promises. As a way of withholding information, affirmation or love - to have power over you - the p/a man may choose to make up a story rather than give you a straight answer. *PROCRASTINATION - The p/a man has an odd sense of time - he believes that deadlines don't exist for him. *CHRONIC LATENESS & FORGETFULNESS - One of the most infuriating & inconsiderate of all p/a traits is his inability to arrive on time. By keeping you waiting, he sets the ground rules of the relationship. And his selective forgetting - used only when he wants to avoid an obligation. *AMBIGUITY - He is master of mixed messages and sitting on fences. When he tells you something, you may still walk away wondering if he actually said yes or no. *SULKING - Feeling put upon when he is unable to live up to his promises or obligations, the p/a man retreats from pressures around him and sulks, pouts and withdraws. |

Wireless Audio Switch - Build18 Wiki
Build18 is an annual engineering festival held by the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at Carnegie Mellon University. It is a joint venture run by the ECE SAC and IEEE student organizations. Build18 was founded out of the belief that the ECE curriculum is too structured and doesn't leave enough room for simply tinkering with electronics and making cool stuff.
Build18 is meant to give ECE students time to work on self-proposed, creative projects and to promote the fun and playful aspects of engineering. Build18 is currently scheduled for the first week of Spring 2012 semester. All Carnegie Mellon students are welcome to join, participate regardless of time commitment small or large. This event is meant to be fun, exploratory, and creative. More about the project here | http://build18.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page
Wireless Audio Switch - Build18 Wiki

Project Description
The Wireless Audio Switch is a product designed to help users manage all of their music. This device has three 3.5mm headphone jack inputs, so that the user can plug in multiple sources, such as computers, iPods, CD players, etc. On the other side of the device are three more 3.5mm jacks for outputs. Different sets of speakers or headphones could be plugged in. With this audio switch, the user can select any input to go to any output, even different connections at the same time, or one input going to multiple outputs. For example, the first input can go to the second output at the same time that the third input is going to the first and third outputs. This is especially useful when one has different sets of speakers in different parts of his/her house, and wants different songs playing in different rooms at the same time. There are color coded LEDs to make the connections easier to see, and buttons near each output to toggle through the inputs.Read More Here | Build18 Wiki
